  • INFINET hoop systems are designed, engineered and manufactured in Australia, with product development, assembly and quality control managed locally.

  • No. FINLINE™ was originally developed specifically for high-use outdoor courts, but the broader INFINET range includes systems for both indoor and outdoor environments.

    ORIGIN™ is our traditional fixed hoop, while AIRFLEX™ is our performance breakaway system. Both are designed for a wide range of public, sporting and private applications.

  • Yes. Engineering and product development sit at the core of INFINET.

    Our systems are developed through engineering, prototyping, testing and real-world use, with each generation informed by how the products actually perform on court.

    The original INFINET system, now FINLINE™, was also recognised as a finalist in the 2025 Victorian Premier’s Design Awards.

Choosing the Right Product

  • FINLINE™ is designed for outdoor courts where ongoing net maintenance, vandalism or frequent replacement is a concern.

    ORIGIN™ is our fixed basketball hoop for courts where the traditional woven-net experience is preferred.

    AIRFLEX™ is our performance breakaway hoop, available with either a Premium Woven Net + SwishLock® or FinTech™.

    STUDIO is for custom colours, branding, one-off installations and projects requiring something outside the standard range.

  • Absolutely. Where a good-quality traditional net can be maintained and replaced when required, it remains an excellent playing experience.

    That’s why we offer our Premium Woven Net and developed SwishLock® for use with ORIGIN™ and AIRFLEX™.

    For locations where ongoing maintenance is difficult, vandalism is common or replacement cycles are impractical, FINLINE™ with FinTech™ provides a long-term alternative designed specifically for those environments.

    AIRFLEX™ is our performance breakaway hoop, designed to provide a controlled response under force during more aggressive play.

    Both are engineered and manufactured in Australia and can be paired with our Premium Woven Net and SwishLock® technology.

  • Yes. STUDIO is our custom design arm for projects that go beyond the standard range.

    The scope can be as simple as a custom colour, finish or branding, or extend to new components, one-off installations and completely bespoke basketball systems.

FINLINE™ + FinTech™

  • FINLINE™ is the evolution of the original INFINET hoop and net system.

    Developed for high-use outdoor courts, it combines a robust hoop with our proprietary FinTech™ fin system to provide the feedback and ball response of a net without relying on traditional woven or chain construction.

    It’s particularly suited to public courts where ongoing net maintenance or replacement is difficult.

  • FinTech™ is INFINET’s proprietary fin-based net technology.

    Flexible polymer fins respond as the ball passes through the hoop, providing movement, sound and feedback while being designed for long-term outdoor use.

  • No. FinTech™ is designed to flex as the ball passes through the hoop, allowing it to drop through before the fins return to position.

    The system has been developed and tested around real-world basketball play.

  • Not with Infinet. The fins are designed to slow and direct the ball, reducing runaway rebounds common with netless rings. It helps keep the ball nearby and the game flowing.

  • The response is slightly different - FinTech™ uses flexible individual fins rather than woven material.

    The fins flex and guide the ball as it passes through, providing the sound, movement and feedback that are lost when a court is left with a bare hoop. The drop is clean and consistent - refined through player feedback and on-court testing.

  • Infinet is designed to solve exactly that. Our fins significantly reduce runaway balls by slowing the ball and directing it downward - keeping the game closer to the hoop.

  • Yes. Sound was an important part of the development of FinTech™.

    The flexible fins create audible feedback as the ball passes through the hoop, helping preserve one of the most familiar parts of the basketball experience. Watch below to hear it for yourself.

  • FINLINE™ combines a robust powder-coated steel hoop assembly with flexible, UV-stable polymer fins and replaceable components designed for long-term outdoor use.

  • FINLINE™ is designed for long-term use in demanding outdoor environments, with FinTech™ fin sets typically providing 5+ years between servicing, depending on use and conditions.

    Individual fins and components can be replaced when required without replacing the complete hoop.

  • They’re designed for different environments.

    Where a quality traditional woven net can be maintained and replaced when required, it remains an excellent option.

    FINLINE was developed for outdoor courts where nets are frequently damaged, removed, vandalised or simply not replaced. FinTech™ provides a durable, low-maintenance alternative for those environments.

Installation + Maintenance

  • INFINET hoop systems are designed to suit common basketball backboard configurations, but existing installations can vary.

    We recommend checking the relevant product dimensions and technical specifications before ordering. If you’re unsure, send us details of your existing setup and we can help confirm compatibility.

  • In most cases, yes.

    FINLINE can be used for both new installations and upgrades to existing courts. Compatibility depends on the existing backboard and mounting configuration, so this should be confirmed before ordering.

  • FINLINE was developed specifically to minimise ongoing maintenance.

    Its FinTech™ components are individually replaceable, allowing the system to be serviced without removing or replacing the complete hoop.

  • Yes. FINLINE™ is designed to be serviceable.

    Individual FinTech™ components can be replaced, and Fin Kits are available for ongoing maintenance.

  • Like any traditional basketball net, a woven net is a replaceable wear item and should be checked periodically, particularly in outdoor and high-use environments.

    Its lifespan will vary depending on use, weather exposure and the court environment.

Technology + Products

  • SwishLock® is our engineered attachment system for traditional woven basketball nets.

    Used with ORIGIN™ and AIRFLEX™, it secures the net at the hoop and is designed to reduce abrasive wear at the attachment points and improve net retention over time.

  • Airflex® is INFINET’s engineered breakaway technology.

    It provides a controlled response under force during performance play, with the mechanism developed around durability, reliability and serviceability over the life of the hoop.

  • The INFINET Premium Woven Net is a high-quality traditional basketball net designed for regular play.

    Durable and substantial, it delivers the familiar feel, sound and ball response of a woven net and fits most standard basketball hoops.

    It’s also the net we choose for ORIGIN™ and AIRFLEX™ + SwishLock®.

  • Yes. The Premium Woven Net fits most standard basketball hoops and can be purchased separately.

    You don’t need an INFINET hoop to use it.

    FINLINE™, AIRFLEX™ and STUDIO projects are supplied by quotation so we can confirm the right product and configuration for your project.
